I would like to try and raise awareness of memorials, especially of those that have been forgotten. Public memorials consist of flowers, cards and messages but these, with time, fade away. My interpretation is more of a semi permanent, abstract example, and i am very interested to see what other people’s interpretations of this idea are. I want to try and make this into an online memorial blog where people share remembrance, thoughts, feelings, photographs… the content is up to you. Feel free to post comments, or email me your submissions to dt501tc@gold.ac.uk.
Below I have provided a printable jpeg of the magpie, and I invite you to take part and place this in your site of sorrow or somewhere you think it would be suitable. Alternatively contact me if you have a site for me to visit and place one of the mags.

Very poignant artwork which will make people think as they walk pass. Subtly enough to be unobtrusive; bold enough to make a statement. Fantastic idea.
